My Non-Fiction

Non-Fiction is a genre I have come back to a little in recent years. My titles so far are limited, but stay tuned! I have a lot to say!

A book of over 100 Bible references that call us back to the love of God in Jesus Christ.

American Heresies: Reclaiming the Faith of Christ from Donald Trump

This is a book that was begging to be written! All across this country Christians and non-Christians alike have been stunned by how Donald Trump’s popularity among Christians! Donald Trump’s upside-down Bible style of Christianity seeks to say we can favor the rich over the poor, disregard the needs of all people who are not white American, lie until the cows come home, abuse women and pretend that “the Good News” is a commodity for the profit of the wealthy few. Is that what Jesus came into this world to teach us? In this book, Keith Madsen uses over 100 Bible passages along with quotations from Christian leaders present and past to show why this Christian attempt to validate Trump and his policies is nothing less than heresy. He is bold to say…

“…whatever is presented as Christian that is not Good News for all people is heresy!”

A memoire of my father's service post Korean War.

Standing Colors: Memoirs of Navy V-12 Officers

They stood with our country. They went out into the sub-zero temperatures of a Montana winter to "stand colors", to show respect for the US flag and the nation it represented. They were the graduates of the Navy V-12 officer training program. Some went on to fight in World War II or Korea. Others were simply the watchmen who helped pull the country together after those conflicts. This book is a thank you to them and the families who waited for them at home. With this book we pass on what they stood for. Richard Madsen trained as a Navy officer at the Montana School of Mines and later Kansas University from 1943-46. He served as a Supply Officer at Subic Bay in the Philippines from 1946-47. This book is co-authored by his son, Keith Madsen. Richard passed away in 2015.
